Day-ahead against real-time
Where the day-ahead market cleared versus what real time delivered.
How this is measured
Real-time is the North Hub 15-minute settlement point price; day-ahead is the hourly Hub Average clearing price. Day-ahead extends past the “now” marker into the next operating day, because it clears the afternoon before delivery — that forward stub is the whole point of the comparison, not a rendering artefact.

Actual ERCOT-wide demand against the most recent seven-day forecast vintage.
How this is measured
ERCOT publishes settled actuals (NP6-345-CD) roughly a day in arrears, so the actual line stops short of the forecast rather than tracking it to the minute. The gap at the right-hand edge is ERCOT’s publication lag, not missing ingestion.

How this is measured
Actual output (genSystemWide) is carried only for the current operating day in NP4-732-CD and NP4-737-CD, so historical hours show forecast without actual. Extending the request window does not recover them — we verified this against the live API — it is how ERCOT publishes the report.

How this is measured — one series here is derived
“Thermal & other” is not measured. It is computed as load minus wind minus solar, because ERCOT’s Public API publishes no real-time generation-by-fuel-type report.
That residual therefore bundles thermal, nuclear, hydro, storage and DC-tie imports, and it inherits the error of all three inputs. Treat it as a magnitude, not a fuel-level figure.

How this is measured
